Larry G. "Hoss" Pearson founded Advanced Training Systems International(ATSI) in 1994. Mr. Pearson is a twenty-six year Navy veteran retiring from the United States Navy with the rank of Captain. Mr. Pearson was Commanding Officer of the Blue Angels - the elite US Navy demonstration team, VX-4 (US Navy Research and Development squadron), VF-154, and NAS Miramar (former home of TOPGUN). He is a qualified engineer and was an engineering test pilot for 18 years.

During his service with the US Navy, Mr. Pearson recorded more than 8,500 flight hours in 61 different types of aircraft, 158 combat missions, and 820 carrier landings. He is a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School and an Associate Fellow of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots.
